In good time for Christmas, there are two new books from Chris Vine and one from Camden.

And don’t forget Cherry’s Model Engines!

Rain, Steam and Speed

Caught in a storm, two young girls dry out in a locomotive.

Cheekily, they end up stealing the train!

Another of Grandpa’s amazing-but-true stories.

32 pages, 15 x 14 cm, £2.99 - age range approx 6 to 12 years

Grandpa Goes Bananas

The children and Grandpa play trains on an epic scale, causing complete havoc!

The fourth “Little” book - for younger readers.

32 pages, 15 x 14 cm, £2.99 - age range approx 3 to 6 years

Chris's series of 17 books tell the story of Peter and Grandpa building and operating a railway across their farm.  Combining real engineering with true stories and adventures, these books feed inquisitive minds!

Chris is  happy to sign books. Look out for special offers, too.

La Locomotive a Vapeur

‘LaLa’ was the nickname the staff gave to the English edition of Chapelon’s ‘La Locomotive a Vapeur’ when Camden published it back in 2000. At £55.80 a copy it remains the most expensive book they have published, and the longest print-run; now a decent secondhand copy will set you back £200 plus.

Camden reports “we have brought it back as a Digital Edition for £29.95 inc VAT - all 667 pages of it, revised to correct the errors and typos that crept in 16 years ago. Now what many regard as the greatest book on the development of the steam locomotive in the 20th Century is available again, just a few clicks away.”

And available from all good booksellers...

We have news of more digital books from Camden. Here they are:
