Grass reaper

Great models don’t have to be pristine to impress. Visitors to Harrogate/Doncaster will be familiar with the outstanding models by John Eva of ‘distressed’ (to put it politely) fairground lorries and other items from a scrapyard. B Polley’s reaper may at first sight look a little grim, if you’ll excuse the pun. However, it takes some skill to produced a model of a piece of old agricultural equipment as you might probably find it. Certainly more involved than something even more highly polished than an original would have been, even brand new.

Appropriately, this model is built from 95% scrap material and is to be completed. The cutter blade is adjustable by use of levers and is driven by the land wheels.
