As the National Model Engineering and Modelling Exhibition approaches we are looking back with a small selection of photos  from the past few years to give an idea of the variety and quality of what can be seen. Harrogate, as it is invariably known, is a great show and a chance to catch up with people you might only see once a year.

This year it is on from May 10 to 12 at its regular location, the Great Yorkshire Showground on the outskirts of Harrogate. There is a free shuttle bus service from the train and bus stations in the centre of Harrogate. For drivers there is plenty of free car parking and the satnav destination is postcode HG2 8QZ.

Couples coming to Harrogate will find good accommodation in the town, plenty of good places to eat including the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms, and plenty to do such as a visit to the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr. And York Railway Museum is not far away.
