H C Roughton’s

One of the great services of the Society of Model and Experimental Engineers is as the keeper and conservator of models donated by members. It has amassed a large collection over the years of interesting and fine models. In recent times these have been treated to bring them up to a condition to be capable of being exhibited. And for the past few years many have graced the larger exhibitions. This particular model was displayed at the last Sandown Park exhibition in 2014, built and presented to the SMEE in 1968 by H C Roughton. It is a horizontal mill engine with a bore of 1.5” and 2” stroke.
