The engine speed is from 150 to 900rpm, and the bike operates at a speed of 6kph at a 500rpm engine speed, developing 0.23kw power (approx 1/3hp).

Driving the bike is a two-cylinder steam engine with valves driven by a cam belt. The engine has a bore and stroke of 32mm, giving a displacement of 50cc.

The boiler is a cross tube design using 3mm copper tube. It has an inside diameter of 130 and 160mm outside. Water volume is 0.7litres in the boiler and there is a reserve tank of 13litres. Heat comes from a gasoline gasification burner, with a reserve of 3litres.
