PUMPING ENGINE

This model, shown at Doncaster 2017, is of an hydraulic pumping engine built around 1890 by Tannett, Walker & Co of Leeds for the Great Central Gas Consumer’s Company, Bow Common Gasworks. Scale is 1:8. Drawings were made from the engine, which is preserved at Leed Industrial Museum. Patterns for the cylinder and bed castings were made by B&N Patterns, Halifax, Blackgates Engineering, Dewsbury, and Derek Harper Foundry, Bradford.
