Building wagons in 5” gauge has become one of the growing parts of model engineering, largely inspired by the active GL5 Association and its efforts to promote ground level railway operation in that scale, and its work in setting standards for builders to follow. The fine examples shown here were displayed at the Midlands exhibition in 2013 by Guy Harding. First is a set of three iconic Metropolitan Railway Jubilee coaches. Also greatly admired was his prize winning model of a Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway twin tank gas storage wagon.
