FOUR CYLINDER MARINE ENGINE
Multi cylinder oscillating engines are proving to be the latest challenge for steam engine modellers. This one was pictured at the Doncaster exhibition in 2017, one of several on display. It was made to a Bob Middleton design by Brian Stephenson. As usual with Bob’s designs it is made from stock materials, no castings are used. It is an attractive unit with its brass and steel construction and which is also fascinating to watch in action with its four oscillating cylinders.
