This model is based on the Hunslet locomotive Maid Marian from the Dinorwig slate quarry in North Wales. The model was built in 5” gauge by Guy Ellerby, then chairman of the Saint Albans District Model Engineering Society, to the design by Don Young. It has several minor modifications.
