This freelance steam launch was displayed by the Victoria Model Steamboat Club at Alexandra Palace 2017. It is 47” long and has a beam of 11”

Power is by a Stuart Turner Sun 3/4 x 3/4 twin cylinder single acting steam engine, converted from piston valve to side valve. Operating pressure is 60 - 70psi.

The 4” x 8” copper boiler has a centre flue with nine 3/8” cross tubes, and is tested to 180psi. It is fired by LPG blowlamp using butane/propane mix disposable cylinders.

Current duration is about 10 minutes, which is set to improve with the fitting of a boiler feed pump. Radio control of the rudder and throttle is by Spectrum 7dci 2.4 system.
