It has hit and miss speed governing in which the exhaust valve is held open if the engine over-speeds. It has low tension ignition which relies on the spark caused by the back electromagnetic field generated when current flowing through a coil is interrupted by a contact breaker located in in the side of the combustion chamber.
Construction occupied around 350 hours.
