KING ARTHUR LOCO IN 10.25” GAUGE

Southern Railway King Arthur class locomotive 772, Sir Sagramore, was one of two models commissioned from Richards Engineering by Walter Harper for his Oakhill Manor railway in the 1970s, but 772 was not completed due to difficulties running a 4-6-0 on that track. The unfinished loco was exchanged for a Dunstalair from the Maidtone, Kent railway of Peter Howard where it was completed.

It moved again in the 1990s to the Ingfield Manor Railway and later to Pulborough, West Sussex, where it was restored by Peter Fagg of the Brighton Engineerium. It has recently moved back to Ingfield.

It was displayed at the 2015 Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition by the 10.25” Gauge Society.
