M.E. BEAM ENGINE
By Norman and Paul Clark
An impressive ME beam engine built by Norman and Paul Clark and shown at an Alexandra Palace exhibition. The engine was originally designed to a 50% larger scale by George Gentry back in 1912. Revised drawings by Exactus to the more manageable 1:12 scale of this model were published in 1959 and are available from Sarik. A classic model engineering design.
For demonstration purposes this model was fitted with a geared electric motor so that it could be seen running on show.
