5” GAUGE POLLY V 2-6-0 LOCO
Brian Parker

Anthony Mount

Example of the fifth iteration of the highly successful Polly series of kit built locomotives in 5” gauge shown by Brian Parker at a Midlands Model Engineering exhibition.

Polly loco kits need little introduction to most model engineers as they have earned a reputation for performance on the track and ease of construction. The fully machined kits are aimed primarily at the complete novice although a surprising number of experienced model engineers and clubs build them.

Kits include laser cut frames, complete boilers, and CNC machined parts, ready for assembly. See more details here.

The Polly locomotive was originally designed and manufactured by JGS Clarke in 1987. In 1999 Andy Clarke bought out the Polly range of locomotives and has since further developed the range at Polly Model Engineering.
