TRIPLE EXPANSION PUMPING ENGINE
Neil Carney
From the MEWS archive is one of the fine models of pumping station engines by Neil Carney. The model was designed and built over a four year period. An homage to the world’s longest running soap opera, now in its eighth decade, the engine is from the Ambridge pumping station of the Borchester and District Water Board which delivered a million gallons a day to the Lakey Hill reservoir.
