One of the great workshop projects is the universal pillar tool designed by George Thomas. From the MEWS archive, this example by Philip Bridgway was photographed at a Bristol exhibition and comprises the staking tool and sensitive drill. Many attachments can be added to the original design including one for clock rebushing.
