Inspiration for this model steam launch is unmistakably Edwardian. However, some of the technology is decidedly modern. Ian Gerrard has shown this super model, Vital Byte 10, at the Guildford Rally. Clear to see is the steam monotube boiler and twin cylinder - typical of the age as is the boat itself. Less obvious is the control system. This is no ordinary radio control, it is voice operated control. Next time at the boating pool, if you hear someone say “left hand down a bit” they might mean it.
