BELLS OF ST GEORGE’S DAMERHAM

Wonderful 1:8 scale model seen at a Bristol exhibition of the bells of St George’s, Damerham in the New Forest.

Materials used:

Timber - sweet chestnut to scale oak.

Ramin used for wheels and floor boarding.

Steel.

Old servants’ bells.

Sewing cotton rope.

The present frame was built by the modeller’s great uncle in 1932. The oldest bell, the tenor, is dated 1666.
