Phil Bridgway’s
FRISCO 16hp
GAS ENGINE

One of the standout models at the Bristol show in 2015 was a quarter scale model of a Frisco 16hp two-cylinder gas engine. It was displayed by Phil Bridgway. Frisco engines were made by the Standard Gas Engine Company of San Francisco - mainly for use in boats.

Castings and drawings are available from Shelf Pet Models in the United States for a Frisco Standard model of an engine from 1909. It was based on the 16hp marine engine and features an open-sided crankcase, twin side-shafts with twin igniters on top of the cylinder heads. See:
