Group No.6: The linkage system

As previously described, an Evans linkage system is used on this engine to control the in-line motion of the piston rods. This also allows some other equipment, e.g. the pumps, to be driven by the main link.

The Main Link (6.1) is made from two side levers connected together by two brass tubes which are silver soldered in place. An other interesting part could be the Swivel element (6.5). This is the place to apply your personal identification or your initials as the author did. The bearing components are silver soldered to the middle section and should be cut out after soldering. The other elements of this group are not so complicated.
