JET ENGINE
This model was built by John Healey and shown by C Irvine at Doncaster in 2018. The Motorlet M-701 was a Czechoslovak jet engine used to power the Aero L-29 Delfín jet trainer. About 9,250 engines were built between 1961 and 1989 to equip the Warsaw Pact air forces. The design was a single shaft centrifugal compressor turbojet; the first jet engine designed in Czechoslovakia.
John previously built pair of working model Derwent jet engines, shown at the foot of the page.
