Next some work on the hatch arm. Could not find a shaft for the hatch arm and it's not shown on the diagram. So used a 6mm stainless steel rod and threaded it M6 so that it can be screwed in the big-end of the arm. Also made a brass slotted screw that goes in the big-end. For the small-end of the arm made up a slotted M2.5 round nut. Also made a brass U handle for the arm.

Had a look at the periscope guards and the first thing I did was to skim off the legs of these guards so that they all sit straight and at the same height.
Finished the seven periscope armoured guards.
Glued in periscopes
Glued in the periscope covers and thought it would be a good idea to apply some weld seems now before fitting the MG ring.
Glued in place the MG ring. I am using two-part epoxy. Used it also for the periscope guards. After 24 hours removed the clamp and added the weld seams.
Ta-da. Cupola finally finished!
Carving up a piece of aluminium to make my turret ventilator.
The turret ventilator is finally finished. That took quite a while. It's true what they say that it takes 30% of the time to make the part and then 70% of the time to finish it.
