BUILDING A TIGER TANK

Part 21 by Vince Cutajar

Started to slowly assemble all the bits and pieces to the hull roof. This is what I like best - assembling pre-prepared parts. It's slow going, but who's in a hurry?

The hull roof finished and repainted.
I added the turret turn electric motor to see if it is still working. Still working OK.
Finally the hull is finished and all buttoned up after five months. Never imagined it would take me so long.

Finished the fillet between the engine hatch and hull roof. I also added the tie-downs to the appropriate places.

I made a jig when I came to drill the 1.5mm holes in the side of the hull for the tie-downs.
Added the zimmerit behind the Bosch light and touched up the base coat. I put all the bits and pieces in place to take some family shots of the deck. Also put in the antenna just to see how it looks.
progress on the escape hatch. All the major parts are done and hand fitted.
Escape hatch finally finished.
