Back in the 1950s the great Edgar T Westbury produced drawings for a diagonal paddle steamer twin cylinder engine with Stephenson’s valve gear coupled to the paddle wheels. Julius re-visited the design in metric and to a larger scale. Designed for fabrication rather than castings.
