CRYSTAL WHEEL SKELETON CLOCK
Dr A Bergamasco
Fine example of a glorious crystal wheel skeleton wheel clock shown by Len Bergamasco at a Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition, based on John Wilding’s design for a crystal wheel skeleton wheel clock. John’s design was based on a clock made by Edwards of Stourbridge, and seen on the dust cover of Royer-Collard’s great book on skeleton clocks.
Wilding chose to make the wheel centres from Pespex rather than glass for ease of home machining, with pleasing results.
