OLIVER TIGER MK III - 5cc ENGINE BUILD
Part 10 by Ramon Wilson
Part four - by Ramon Wilson

The penultimate pieces - then just the shim steel ratchet springs to make, and assembly can begin.

Well it's all done - the small spring ratchets proving easier to make than anticipated. A good clean down of the bench are and it's time for the best bit of the build - assembly.

A close up of all the parts for one engine.

Finally, an assembled engine. Very pleased with the make up - just the merest fettling on the big end that was just scraping the case wall.

The ratchets were 'blackadised' using Jenolite 'Cold Black' .

Together with it's smaller brother - a Russian made version of the original 2.5cc.

All three.

All three engines proved extremely easy to start. They all have a lovely note and a super 'crack' when the compression is backed off.
